 PROGRAM

Dear members, friends and supporters,
It’s a pleasure to notice how our congregation continues to develop on every level. The month of March was very busy. Rachel Dohme took part in the 31st International Conference of the WUPJ
Getting ready for Purim

Getting ready for Purim
in Israel and held a lecture about our movement. Inna Golbereg took part in the Makabbi qualifying games in Prague and won 1st place in table tennis. Now the warm spring weather encourages us to get together more often and celebrate our community life.

New Rooms
Hinei ma tov uma nayim shevet achim gam yachad (How good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters sit together). It’s even better when they have a little more room! We’ve found a bigger, beautiful, modern, renovated space near the main bus and train station and we’ll be moving in in June! Everyone will have an opportunity to help! The more we do ourselves the more money we can save, so get ready to lend a hand!

Thirty-first International WUPJ Conference in Israel
Our president, Rachel Dohme took part in the 31st annual WUPJ conference in Israel as part of a German delegation. She took part in a podium presentation on the developments and challenges of the Progressive movement in Germany. Leaders from the FSU and Argentina also spoke. The conference attendees were moved by our accomplishments here and pledged to assist us in our future challenges.

Rabbi Irit Shillor and
Rabbinical Student Alina Treyher

What a Purim we had! Thanks to Rabbi Shillor, we had a quad-lingual Megilla Esther and everyone took a turn reading aloud. The littlest ones were dressed in dazzling costumes and there were more home-made Hamentaschen than table space! Alina Treyher got us all singing and led a Purim quiz game. Thank you to everyone who made our festival with over 60 congregants in attendance a huge success!

Mazel Tov
Inna Golbereg won 1st place in the Prague qualifying games for this year’s Makabbi games in table tennis. Kol Hakavod, Inna! We’re proud of you!
